Texas Two Step with Beth Coffey

Beth Coffey, an 8th-generation Texan, has been teaching Texas-style dancing in Austin Texas for over 10 years. She has taught hundreds of friends, family, and tourists how to dance and to appreciate the Live Music Capital of the World.

She has been a professional dancer working hand in hand with Hollywood filmmakers (Lost Husband), and TV directors (Walker TexasRanger), choreographed music videos (Paul Cauthen). She has performed and given lecture demonstrations for music and culture research at the Smithsonian Institution, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. She has had the opportunity to teach astronauts to Two-step. She is a great dancer, performer, teacher, and a proud ambassador of traditional Texas dance and music culture.

Beth is married to Joe Jerkins, and Austin based musician and the two of them help promote Texas Culture through dance and music. They danced on a Tecovas Boot commercial in their new boots and a Mike and the Moonpies music video. Beth has danced and choreographed Hayes Carll's music video, Robert Kraft's music video, and many more.

Teaching Texas dance is a passion and keeping the culture of live music and dancing alive in Austin is a dream that requires work, but is worth it for their 2 years old daughter, Betsy, to have the chance to dance in the future.

if you would like to learn the Texas Two Step with Beth Coffey, 7 pm, February 23, 2023, at the White Horse is your chance!
