Beck-Reit Closes another East Austin Deal
2125 E Cesar Chavez, commonly known as the “David Bowie Building”, was leased by Beck-Reit Commercial Real Estate to Austin English Academy, represented by Cathy Coneway of Stanberry Commercial. The building is about 3,000 square feet and located on the ever-changing East Cesar Chavez Street. Austin English Academy took the entire building.
Beck-Reit represented the Landlord and Cathy Coneway of Stanberry Commercial Real Estate represented the Tenant, Austin English Academy. The Landlord is very pleased to lease the property in about 60 days.

There are a ton of new great restaurants, coffee shops and entertainment venues opening up over here and it is bringing a lot of new office users along with it. You really see office tenants wanting to be close to walkable amenities and East Austin is quickly becoming one of the front-runners in that department.”
Advice to Landlords:
Look for tenants that will stay and pay. Getting the highest Base Rent Rate isn’t the #1 goal, we suggest looking at the longevity of tenant and their current financials.
