DeLea had the pleasure of attending Beth Azor’s Investor’s Summit this year in Orlando Florida. Aside from teaching and sponsoring for this event, DeLea also soaked up a lot of valuable information as well. As she dropped a few gems in Florida, she picked up these three takeaways:

The Texas Triangle Podcast had the honor of gaining insight from esteemed Dr. Lloyd Potter, Texas State demographer for their debut episode. Dr. Lloyd Potter was appointed State Demographer on June 4, 2010. Dr. Potter holds a Ph.D. in Demography and Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Public Health Degree from Emory University, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University.

Beth Coffey, an 8th-generation Texan, has been teaching Texas-style dancing in Austin Texas for over 10 years. She has taught hundreds of friends, family, and tourists how to dance and appreciate the Live Music Capital of the World.

Once again, the Austin Area Heritage Council has organized the annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration and activities. The Annual Community March is a celebration of Dr. King and his legacy while promoting the importance of multiculturalism and diversity within Austin. This year’s celebration includes the march, the community festival, and a food drive.
